Meet Recap

During our first away meet Maranatha traveled to compete against Covina High School. The Varsity Girls tied with Covina in what was a very exciting day of competition between the two teams. Strong swims from Maranatha’s 2nd and 3rd seeded swimmers and relays helped the girls stay close to Covina but it came down to winning the final relay that allowed MHS to pull even with Covina. The Varsity men won their first meet on the road and continued to have swimmers qualify for CIF. Maranatha’s men showed true speed in the freestyle events and on the relays. Without their senior Cameron Smith, Maranatha men stepped up with big swims from sophomores Tanner Gish and Nils Heinstedt as well as from juniors Jacob Howe and Jack Means.

After spring break, MHS will travel to La Salle to compete against a crosstown rival.
